1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the UniGo+ app and website ("UniGo+", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using UniGo+, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use UniGo+.
2. Description of Service
UniGo+ helps students and their parents or guardians plan for college. Features include personalized roadmaps, progress tracking, college search and matching, cost estimates, and an AI advisor. Some features require a UniGo+ Premium subscription.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create your own UniGo+ account. If you are under 18, you may use UniGo+ only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
A parent or guardian may create a parent account and add information about their child, including a child under 13. By doing so, the parent or guardian confirms they have the authority to provide that information and is responsible for the child's use of UniGo+ through their account.
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly at the address below if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
4. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Billing
UniGo+ Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, purchased through Apple's App Store. The available plans, prices, and any free trial are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm your purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Deleting the app or your UniGo+ account does not cancel your subscription. Please cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. Refund requests must be made to Apple.
If we change the price of a subscription, Apple will notify you in advance as required, and the new price will apply only from your next renewal after you have been notified.
5. AI Features and Educational Information
UniGo+ uses artificial intelligence to generate roadmaps, college suggestions, college overviews, cost estimates, and advisor replies. The advisor is an automated AI guide, not a human counselor.
Information in UniGo+, including AI-generated content and information about colleges, is provided for general educational and planning purposes only. It may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. It is not professional, academic, admissions, financial, or legal advice. Always confirm important details, such as deadlines, admission requirements, and costs, directly with the college or with your school counselor.
UniGo+ does not guarantee admission to any college, scholarship, or program, or any particular result.
6. Acceptable Use
When using UniGo+, you agree not to:
- Break any law or use UniGo+ for a fraudulent or harmful purpose
- Enter information about another person without the right to do so
- Submit content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm
- Try to get around usage limits, access other users' accounts or data, or interfere with how UniGo+ works
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell UniGo+ or its content, except where the law allows
7. Your Content
You keep ownership of the information you enter into UniGo+, such as your profile details and messages. You give us permission to use it only to operate and provide UniGo+ to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
UniGo+, including its design, software, text, and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the UniGo+ app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as permitted by these Terms and the App Store's usage rules.
9. Account Deletion and Termination
You can stop using UniGo+ at any time, and you can delete your account in the app: open Settings (the Profile tab, or the gear icon on a parent account) and tap Delete account. What happens to your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts other users or UniGo+ at risk. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue features of UniGo+. If we discontinue UniGo+ Premium, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniGo+ is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that UniGo+ will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or admissions outcomes, arising from your use of UniGo+. Our total liability for any claim relating to UniGo+ is limited to the amount you paid for UniGo+ in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
12. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded UniGo+ from Apple's App Store, you also agree to the following:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for UniGo+ or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for UniGo+.
- If UniGo+ fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to UniGo+.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to UniGo+, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, or settling any claim that UniGo+ infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If you live outside the United States, you may also have the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using UniGo+ after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
